ZooYork is a style and social philosophy..inspired by the NYC
graffiti art subculture in the 1970s originate from the subway or simply
Zoo York was a hault of early old school writers hanging out with the hipples
around Central Park bandshell in the late 60s-70s by graffiti pioneer Rapper
Ali (Marc Andre Edmonds) of art soul artist..the subway artist gathered at
the night Manhattan..the tunnel construction project ..which goes through
Central Park from 1973-1974 extention of broadway..BMT line and sixth ave
IND lines at 57th st terminal stations...just south of the city zoo..underneath
the Zoo grounds and out..under 5th ave connection 2..recently completed 63st
local graffiti line..local graffiti writers..boosting one another ..over a
sheathed wall..climbing down into the tunnel below..inside ..where 4 sets of
subway tracks..uptown and downtown(IND) and (BMT) created a subterranean Monkey
house enviornment for invading street kids around..scrawling graffiti..where
walls were tagged..the extinct ZooYork wall is prominently displayed on pages
from..THE FAITH OF GrAFfItI..the 1974 photo essay book..a documentated by..
